For the OPML Validator (beta) - after a call out here.

I have a bunch of comments etc on the validator which I will post later. Also some suggestions for non-mandatory and useful attributes for the future.

I really can't help but have a go before bedtime now can I? :)

WHAT A FLASH CAR! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

It seems that Flash is making its way into cars! Alpine have created a Macromedia Flash based UI with touchscreen for the Jaguar XK. That's very cool news! Apparently it controls all sorts of things for the in-car environment system.

You could easily get it to do RSS too! And a podCARsting client ;) eh? eh?

Hey! Jaguar! Why not lend me one of your nice cars and I'll build a you a Jaggregator! ;)

 Vroom! Vroom?

USENET AND *CASTING Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I still say that Usenet 'binaries' newsgroups could be a great way for media casters of any description or format to get in the game without paying for hosting.

Some Usenet providers keep the content of a newsgroup up for about a month, which seems fine for certain types of podcasts etc. Plenty of time to catch up. Great for early spikes in podularity for downloading etc.

So.. what am I getting at? Providing web interfaces for the binaries usenet. It could be great. I'm going to do more research in this area. {update: looks like IMAP is the place to start digging}

 I currently use a very simple web ui from easynews.com for newsgroups. Some might argue that it's too simple and geeky, but it's easily less busy than that of dejanews.com

 The best Usenet Web UI I have seen in a long time can be found here at Guba.com. VERY nice job!

 Interesting to note that a just happened to see their site after seeing a load of jobs being advertised at Guba, at KarmaOne, a job referral site. They are offering $5000 rewards for each Java-based job! Sounds great for the right person. With rewards like that, it makes me think they have alot of cash ;) [Java developers can be expensive to hire]

 I'm not a Java guy ;) But I know plenty
