This time last year 

I was on the first trip to the USA of the year. To Las Vegas and CES. God, I wish I was there again. There are so many cool new gadgets coming out, desperate for a network of content. Boooo.. Oh well.. CeBit coming in March, which I have been to before. Also incredibly huge, but not as awesome as CES. God, I love gadgets.

Wow! 3D Surround! 

It's been a long time since I had one of those jaw-dropped, mouth-opened "WOOOOOW" moments. But I had one when I heard an MP3 file today of a box of matches being shaken around my head. Heard it first on the DSC, then went looking for it, found it and actually bought all 1minute 28 seconds of it for 99c! It literally had that effect on me, listening with my new Plantronics Pulsar 590A Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. Incredible!

Heh. Jeez! look at the grey beard!! I look like I should be out chopping wood!

It's a 3D surround sound effect which work with normal headphones. Amazing work from the Virtual Audio Project.

i wonder if this uses any of the new Fraunhofer technology which has been reported recently. Demo software here.

DAYAMM!!! THE RIVER IS HERE! GO DIGG! 

ARGH!!!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO CREATE WITH AN RSS FEED FROM OUR NEWSRIVER FEEDS!!! 'The Digg Spy'.

Ach! I hate it when that happens, but I LOVE what they have done. It's almost exactly how I imagined it. But faster.

Oh well. Perhaps this will prompt someone to hack out an RSS feed from the newRiver items.
