JUST ONE THING Permanent link to this item in the archive.

When Dave goes off on one and proclaims this and that, it's OK. OK? As Dave says: 'get over it' - whether you like it or him or not (yes, we kind of fell out once, but hey, that taught me alot, (though I didn't think so at the time)) but I still retain the respect I have for the guy. He's just a guy, right? But one that enabled a whole career. And I'm positive that he's a very, very good guy at heart. I feel personally stronger having known him in person, at some degree. He's inspiring. He motivates me. So what. Get used to it. Nerrrr... (He can still be a complete wanka though! hah!!! :) )

I heard once, that he called me a stalker to someone I know. Is that any way to treat people?? Not in my book.

He's a PSYCHO! (probably) heeheehee. Too many drugs. (jooooke!)

NEWSRIVER AGGREGATOR API Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Just saw Dave's post about all this. I don't quite know what he's asking of me there (as I have built/prototyped alot of stuffs already), so all he needs to do is ask me personally, outline what he needs, and what the outcome could be, in the way he sees it. :) I just might do it, if he asks me nicely.

Since the NewsRiver release I have been banging on about simply having the OPML Editor system generate an RSS feed along with the ugly newsRiver html, which it currently outputs (I was shocked to find that it didn't already do this). But I don't know how to code in this environment (userTalk?) YET. This way, an AJAX or Flash or whatever interface would drop on everyone's lap with ease - it would seriously only take an hour or so to get something working, which you could just sit back and watch, in awe

Glad to see that Dave in a hatchet-burying mode, as life is indeed too short. Maybe we could do a podcast again? I would LOVE to chat again about RELATED stuff. Dave is one person (of many) who knows how I can often go off on an imaginative, yet creative tangent from a conversation. ;) But it's all worth it. Trust me.

By the way, I have been wanting to start an 'official' OPML podcast for quite some time now. No prizes for guessing who I would want to be guest number one. But all the people who have something constructive to add to the conversations around OPML are welcome, alongside the notables.

So Dave, how about it? No pressure. Just a chat about cooooool stuff. And that's all. It would be fun. We would laugh. Laughing's good. :) Let's FOSTER INNOVATION!

FYI: Am I working on ALOT of OPML and RSS based stuff. Stay tuned! :)

BOSTON Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Arrived safely in Boston a few hours ago I'd stayed up all night coding stuuf, so slept all the way over here. Nice, and alot warmer here than I expected.

Lots more work to do this evening! :)
