CHECK IT OUT !! MAC OPML SERVER WORKING?!! AIIIEE!! Mac OPML Server ahoooooooooooooooy!!! NOW OFFLINE: http://blogs.attengine.com/makosso It bloody worked!!! (in the end)! Dave reports via Jon Udell and Nathan Nutter that iTunes can export an OPML file for his podcast subscriptions. I'm afraid to tell you the bad news - it only works on a Mac (not very 'Universal eh?') The Windows version I tried - 6.0.2.23 - only offers you the option of exporting to XML and the resulting format is not OPML at all. Nice try Apple. Try harder next time. Please. Maybe Dave wouldnt buy you that coffee after all. Maybe he would. Who knows??? Maybe he'd slip something 'extra' in it.
A subject very close to my heart at the moment is OPML import and export features appearing in various places I have tried. Yesterday's post addresses the issue of the invalid OPML files being exported by Bloglines and Google Reader. I have sent a nice email to the Bloglines support team, explaining the required fix to validate. I'll let you know what the upshot of that is, if they get back to me. So, today I got round to trying the OPML import and export features of Bloglines and the IE7 Beta. I used a fairly simple OPML file, with some hierarchy to test (in fact the same OPML file as used by the Bluggcaster)
