Glad to see I'm not alone in considering using OPML as a data format for podcast annotation.
Why doesn't Steve Jobs have a blog? Eh? Cluck cluck.
Why would Dave want to pay for what he already gets? I can see why some companies would want to sponsor techmeme, but why would Dave want to sponsor a slot? I mean, if he says something interesting and people link to him, then techmeme's system finds him in its OPML file/list of blogs - see that people link to him, then voila! He's there. If it was 'DaveCo' who had a product to sell then cool. But surely his pulpit is already big enough to get attention from the techmeme algorithms and place him on the page. I suppose anyone can pay any money to say what they want. But what if a troll wanted to pay for the slot and feed snarky items into it for the griefy buzz?
Apple does not own the word PODCAST Have they lost their mind? |
