Magnatune got my magnatune podcaster information today. i'm a pusher. i push the artists on magnatune. in return, i get to download the hi quality versions of the artists tracks and also feel good about myself, knowing that i am spreading good music around the internet. So, this kind of thing spells a sea change for Music. Calendar Why don't we start the year at the pont of zero Aries? Twelve months of roughly equal time. Some minor adjustment somewhere. Something to think about in my copious spare time. What is it about the media? Listened to the latest TWIT (go find it if you still want to listen after this) and get angry at the misinformation or lack of real information. It's all fluff from people who don't, generally, really know anything. They're quoting others who may or may not know anything other than what the Marketing departments tell them. It was amusing to hear them pontificate about bloggers or forum members hyping products, possibly for money. It's a form of competition for things like PC Magazine and TWIT.
