Pounding the Drum
It's embarassing how hard it is to get a good and consistent sound out of a hand drum.
| | Of course, anyone who actually listens to the sound of their own hand clapping knows it's hard to clap rhythm and accent clearly. The various factors on the drum are even harder. |
| | A step, a little and frustrating step, gets taken. Why is it that all of this needs so much practice? |
On Irish cafes as virtual offices ...
The EirePreneur quotes Om Malik's article The New Office Space. It's all about early stage entrepreneurs using public Wifi as office infrastrcture.
| | When I had the Sierra Wireless AirCard running, my Office Space was pretty much anywhere in the Bay Area and a whole lot of the East Coast when I was travelling. When things get better, we'll do that again. Now, it's just WiFi but the problem is that my assistant is not welcome |
| | Jordan (the dog) can come along, but he ends up in "the bag" while I work or visit. The places with outdoor WiFi are increasing. Cafe Teatro down by the library has some coverage outdoors, but you have to move around to find it. Not sure where that signal is really coming from. I don't know, for sure, that they are actually providing it. |
| | It is great to be out and about and to be on top of email, to be able to IM or VOIP from wherever. |
Imagewell
Donovan points to xtralean for ImageWell. He says it's the bomb ... and maybe it definitely is. |
| | Grabbed it and a copy of ShutterBug. Nice stuff. |
Today
Giving the back a rest. And the rain moves in.
| | They're talking about 2 - 5 inches of rain in the next 36 hours. |
| | A bit twingey coming up the hill. Hmmm. [23+23] |
