An argument people make about sticking with, say, Windows is that they're familiar with it and know how to fix things that go wrong. So they'll stay with the problems and not go to a platform where the problems don't exist (Linux or Mac OS X, for example.)

 Sounds pretty dumb to me. "But I like getting that sharp stick poked into my eye."?

For an hour or so, it's puffy blue clouds in an azure sky. Then for 20 minutes or so, it rains buckets full out of a low gray cloudy sky.

 How's a guy and a dog to get their walk in if this keeps up? Isn't it nice for that to be an issue?

 I'm still a big fan of MDs. They're small. They're album-oriented. I can take a pile of them and they are self organizing.

 I don't do shuffle. I do classical where a "song" often comes in three or four tracks. Or I do stuff where I do an album of coherent stuff. The business of listening to radio chop out the one song of one of the hundred or three CDs in the house doesn't do it for me.

 So '90s ... or was it the '60s ... or

Howard has upgraded to HiMD (much more compressed). As money comes in, it might be nice.

Note that I didn't say 2.0. This TimesOnline article is a nice summary of how a music act can use inexpensive Webcasting to promote the band.

 It's a winner. And an indicator of just how disintermediated the big labels can become.
