Today: 6183m in 30 minutes. Continuing improvement. Never really went above pace of 2:30 for any length of time.
UAE and the ports deal
What do we bet that the US Entity is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UAE company, a cut-out?
| | What difference would that make, other than letting all the politakers to look the other way? |
Writely
Barely out of Alpha and flipped already. Of course, it almost looks like someone sat down and designed the business that Yahoo, Google, AOL, and Microsoft had to start a bidding war over.
Doc on "The Intention Economy"
This is a recycled meme. It's probably worth someone's time to go back to early 1.0 bubble and find the references. There were start-ups based on intention: there were markets where people aggregated intentions to buy to get better prices. There still are remnants in the Wish Lists everywhere.
| | I know Doc comes by this epiphany honestly, but I know he was there the first time around. Maybe he needs to be clearer about what's different now and how this time |
| | It's derivative (and obvious) from the Attention meme that Gillmor and Godin have been flogging. Much true there still but it's hard to treat it as new and fresh almost a decade later. |
| | If there's something different to be done here, someone only has to do it. This isn't a talking game any more. Maybe Seth's new startup will move the ball one way or the other. Let's talk about working code for a change. |
A Non-Violent Game(?) Political Action(?)
"A Force More Powerful" is now available. The story on WorldChanging.
| | Intriguing stuff. If it's half as successful as Sim City, the world will change. At least it is good that someone tackled the simulation of politics and public policy making. |
| | If it weren't PC only, I'd be more likely to play it. For $20, it's almost a required purchase just to support the idea. |
