Hieraki: Wiki-Hierarchy
Donovan suggests it's a collaborative writing tool. Hmmm. We have a collaborative writing challenge.
| | Hmmm. It's built on the TracWiki. The Hieraki site is trashed by spammers (a collaboration software problem). |
| | TracWiki and its developers looks cool. But it seems to REQUIRE Subversion and I don't have one around at the moment . Better to wait and think. And see what Donovan the thoughtBubbler thinks in a day or two. |
Flood Maps ... see what's flooded when the sea rises ... bye bye Alameda :-(
Cheney - wiping his residence off Google Earth
in a complete demonstration of exactly how unclear he is on the concept. It's not the Google Earth user he should be afraid of. It's the other governments and their "clients"
| | The screed the link points to is nicely written but drifts quickly off the original specific to a number of useful and pointed generalities underlying the notion. |

Flute Delivered
by Julian who made two trips down to the porch. one with three priority mail boxes and one with the junkmail. The prize was the Tipple low D flute!
It's WHITE and it sounds awesome. Tipple is very cool.
| | Delivery in two days? Didn't I order it Sunday night? And Robert Doug Tipple (he answers to either Robert or Doug, apparently) threw in a soft bag and a Tipple-Fajardo Wedge. The thing doesn't cost much to begin with. Goodies are just too much |
| | But it's big. And the holes are big. And my hands get tired really quickly. So, after a little consultation with Howard the fiddler and Robert Doug, I ordered a smaller-bore G flute. Up a fourth just as the Alto Recorder in F is up a fourth from the Tenor in C. It's significantly shorter and should be easier to play. |
