Practising is hard ... Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I remember now ...

Exercising and practising every day is a tough habit to establish ... again. Gotta keep things in my way to remind myself. Hopefully, the hands will get stronger and I will soon be able to play longer before I cramp up.

Second PVC flute arrived ... Permanent link to this item in the archive.

a G flute.by Robert Tipple. Not one of Crawford's keyed wooden jobs, just a simple, six hole flute.

As before, nicely packed. Delivered quickly. And it sounds lovely.

Tuesday and Wednesday are missing (lost, sort of) Permanent link to this item in the archive.

because the OPML Editor wasn't working when I got to Virginia.

Sad because of the Lunasa concert Tuesday night (and the ensuing adventure(s)).

They had four unsold seats when I got there at quarter to eight. She broke a pair in the second row and put me fourth to the left of center, directly in front of Kevin Crawford.

I drooled on the floor during intermission looking at Kevin Crawford's wooden flutes. He had a D, a C, and a low Bb flute out. I think he may have had two D flutes out. And F and D whistles. Gorgeous. I know so little I had to ask what keys there were in. He told me and quipped, "but if I were any good, I'd only need one of them." Cute.

We got one copy of Se, autographed by Sean Smyth to Howard ("keep fiddling") but didn't bring the cash to get more (could have spent more like $100 than $20.

Driving back to the hotel, totally lost, I got pulled over by the local police for going 42 in a 35. I don't think I was going fast enough to get a conviction but he was bored. We were polite to each other. He probably would have ticked me if I still had a NY license but CA confused him. Not sure he didn't think it was European or South American.

Rowed 6377m in 30 minutes. <smiles>

Gray, mostly cloudy, but dry this morning.

Got in at 7:10PM instead of midnight. Just made the 2:10ish flight out of IAD through Long Beach.

Had to download OPML Editor again and replace OPML root with one that worked.  Permanent link to this item in the archive.

The copy I had a function that "wouldn't compile." Who to tell/ask?

And during the updates, the Community menu disappeared again. I had to restart the app to get it running again.
