system.verbs.builtins is your friend, right?

Jump then enter the address (On Windows, select Ctrl+J keys).

Or user.html, or whatever you want to crash (um view or change).

I have tweaked the OPML editor scripts, tables, wptext, etc. quite a bit, and sometimes I get the expected results. More often than not, I get the OPML Editor to hiccup, cough, sneeze, and finally crash. Why? Wet paint syndrome - let's see what this does. Fun, fun, fun til your daddy takes the T-Bird away!

Early in my experimentation when the crashing got too crashy and my backups did not recover all correctly, I'd:

Download the latest OPML Editor zip file. Is this the latest stable release?

 Re-register with the original user/pw/domain.

Copy my backup www folder into the new installation.

The above method produced mixed results with syncing host and client files.

I would need to open and resave the template.opml file to get that to update on the host?

Not all the blog files would sync correctly? I would delete and recopy those from backup, while the Editor app was running.

After some googling, I discovered ...

Synchronizing Installations Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Always make a fresh backup of your original OPML directory or appropriate files before trying new scripts, tools or tweaks. May the source be with you.

If you are comfortable with running the scripts, use the synchronizing information page.

Or, coriHacks provides a selectable option via the Tools menu. It also includes a Set RSS Description option, and a Windows resize option.

Download the coirHacks tool into your Opml, Guest Databases, apps, Tools directory.

Start or restart the OPML Editor application.

 Select Tools, Synchonize

If the newly installed tool causes errors, simply remove it from the appsTools directory and restart the OPML Editor.

Both syncing methods did the trick on systems (Win) under test.
