FlickrFan? PhotoFan? Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Dave's got a new tool so of course I have to have a look.

I saw the announcement and waited and waited for a link to appear in my RSS feed. Nothing. Then he was talking about the launch the day before. Wha? So I visited the site and scrolled through the comments and there was the link. OK.

Went to the site, downloaded the image. Wait, I'm already running OPML. What to do? A day or so later I started digging around again and via Google found a link to the photoFan.root. Either the downloads page was updated in the interim or I just missed it the first time.

Downloaded the root file. Dropped it in the Tools folder. Booted OPML.

Nadda.

Looked in the Tools menu and found PhotoFan -> Hello World. I thought ti was FlickrFan.

Started traipsing through the "discussion" area t codecasting and stumbled on a lnk to a preference page. That got me oriented.

I haven't set any prefs yet. Not sure I'll make sue of this app. I don't have a TV, let alone a high def one. My G4 laptop is not the fastest and it almost never gets to sleep. So what would I do with this thing? Not sure yet.

I also notice that OPML has been using 85-95% of my CPU since I installed the FlickrFan tool. Not a good sign.

Oh, I'm getting and error message in the top banner.

[Macro error: Can¹t call the script because the name ³lastfield² hasn¹t been defined]
