Gnomedex Day One - Arrived Arrived at 7.45am after unusually short trip (20 minutes) from Kirkland to the Seattle waterfront. Dave Winer is setting up onstage Scoble's Red Couch is onstage. Chris has just started his opening remarks. Conference title is now "Gnomedex 5.0: The People Aggregator" The conference center upgraded their wifi for the conference ;-) Everyone here is online. Dave Winer starts... Dave wants to sing a song ;-) We're doing this unconference style... People are talking about web standard's, including extending RSS specs. The w3c hasn't been effective. Dave's demoing the outliner. Communities require users as well as developers. Putting software out for download before it's ready is a great way to waste a lot of people's time. Ready for wide access in about a month. We're finally singing the song ;-) Yellow Submarine... Next up is Dean Hamamovitch. GM of the msie team. |
