Outlook 2003 and Radio and OPML Permanent link to this item in the archive.

These three don't seem to play nice together. One of them usually ends up freezing, if I try to do too much at once. Usually the Radio app, but the Outlook app also has frozen at times. I have them talking to different ports, so that is not the problem. So, I have found out that I can't load all three at once.

My Bogroll is Getting Big - on my Radio Blog Site Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I have been thinking about the blogs that are on my blogroll on my main blog site. Which is a Radio Site. This blog roll, which is stored as MySubscriptions.opml is getting rather large and needs to be stored on a separate page, with my favorites on the front blog page. I am going to see if I can put this into my own OPML blog folder and link to it and see what happens.

So, as I am writing this, I am also updating my wife's computer to MS Office 2003. I have setup her computer and her laptop, so that her My Documents folder and her Outlook Data File and her Contacts are stored on a small portable USB attached hard drive. This way, she can just tote the hard drive, in her purse, between the office and home, and she has all the files she needs, at any given time. This is my low-tech solution, as I know that I could set her up a server and store the stuff in one place. But, that is too much for her, so I try to keep it simple. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Haha, there ARE some Easter Eggs. I typed in my browser OPML with quotes as Kosso has suggested and below is what I get. Click here to access the object that's linked to this item. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

This was a Total Work Day Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Well I was working all day on my 'other' job that I do for a living right now. I have been sheparding a SharePoint Portal implementation for a medium size company, and I am quite busy with it.I am somewhat bummed that I couldn't discover more about OPML. I am particularly interested in all the things that can be done with OPML outlines and RSS Feeds.

So I have not had time to OPML. I would like to be able to expand my knowledge of Frontier, the platform that the OPML tools were built upon. So, I will be embarking on a quest of sorts to see what I can learn

I have been playing around with Ruby on Rails and I see the value of such a platform.

However, Frontier seems to have all sorts of possibilities, and since my skills are on the infrastructure side, and the server side, it would be a natural for me to go that way.

Although, I think that out of that exposure to the Frontier server-side of life, applications will naturally flow out of that effort.
