I had an interesting read of Ahmed's OPML Blog and the links that were there. Great stuff Ahmed, keep blogging!!!

Awful Quiet Tonight Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Not many people posting. It must be quiet Thursday night tonight. I am re-installing MS Office 2003 on my wife's computer tonight. It seems as if you upgrade from Office XP, there could be problems. Yes, indeed there were. I had to create a whole new XP account/login for it to work. Google, and MS searches for the problem were fruitless. So, I had to take matters into my own hands

Wonderings and Musings - I do this from time to time... Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I see that Kosso has been wondering about the same thing that I have. Where are the Easter Eggs kept in the database, or on the server? Heehee... Click here to access the object that's linked to this item.

I have also been wondering like Kosso, about the comments functionality. I really liked what Tom did with his comments, but I have been thinking about how to possibly use OPML for this facility instead. Hmmm... the thought occurs to me that since this is a beta test, we don't need comments for this, as we are just testing. That is why I put an email link on my OPML blog to allow for some kind of communication.

OPML Easter Eggs Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I have found an Easter Egg. Kosso tipped me off a few days ago. If you type a phrase and enclose it in quotes like this Edit this Page, the OPML Blog rendering engine will find and create an automatic link. I am not sure if this is only certain phrases or if it does this for most terms entered this way. So, here is a test, I am going to enclose the following words in quotes:

 Dave Winer

 OPML

 Edit this Page

 "Open Source"

 "Creative Commons"

 Cluetrain

 "David Wilkinson"

 "kosso"

 "Recuperation"

 "Regeneration"

 "Web 2.0"

 "Rogers Cadenhead"

 "The Gillmoor Gang"

 "Doc Searls"

That should do it, I am looking forward to the results. This should be interesting.

UPDATE: Well, that was interesting. Bill Gates in quotes shows his picture. LOL!!!

And ClueTrain links to a broken link. :-(
