Online OPML Browser/Editor - Next Step Permanent link to this item in the archive.

The next natural progression is an Online OPML Broswer/Editor that supports inclusion.

Here is another interesting OPML Reader.

New Blauer Online OPML Reader Out There Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I tried this one at Der Blog von blauerbote.com, and I couldn't seem to get it to work. Can someone else try? I left a comment and I will see if I get a response.

Does OPML + RSS = Attention? Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Maybe someone has thought about this already, but the previous post just made a lightbulb go off in my head! What if we could marry RSS and OPML. Think of scanning a river of news headlines, and then being able to expand the headlines that are of greatest interest to us. Come to think of it, we could categorize the RSS/OPML headlines and then browse the items in each category. MonitorThis is close to that. I don't know why I am writing as we. Heh. Click here to access the object that's linked to this item.

However, if you could take a mashup of MonitorThis and an RSS feed that was tunable to your own categories, and also a separate feed, say tied to some tagging taxonomy, you would have a very powerful tool.

I also see the TechCrunch directory as coming very close to this concept. Click here to access the object that's linked to this item.

Taskable is another super example of this concept. Except that it is a task bar app, not in a browser. It would be pretty interesting if you could take Taskable and put it into a browser. Click here to access the object that's linked to this item.

domCollapse - Expand and Collapse HTML Content Permanent link to this item in the archive.

A cool tool to collapse content via javascript. It is free, but curiously, not open source. So I hesitate to link to it here, but the tool funtionality looked impressive. Maybe the technique will be useful to someone. It reminds me of how I have seen opml renderers collapse content under headings.

Update: Duh! I just noticed this functionality in my watchlist at Technorati. I feel so dumb..., oh well, still looks cool, and gave me some ideas...
