I am curious how everyone is watching the OMPL blogging traffic. I use Technorati to search for certain terms on the Net. However, I have subscribed to the most active users in NewsRiver by watching the opml changes page and adding subscriptions. What are others using as a tool to watch blog traffic? What I mean is: what are other users using to watch for specific subjects and posts of their choosing? Part is this is because I cannot help but feel somewhat at arms length in the blog conversation, and while I know that it is supposed to create a conversation loop, the loop seems to be like this: 1. Blog 2. User either comments, blogs and leaves a trackback, or sends an email. 3. Repeat The problem, is that sometimes I seem to miss conversations. Then I have to play catch-up. Then I usually have to actually visit the blog pages and peruse, which seems to defeat the purpose of Blogging/Commenting/RSS'ing. Any thoughts out there? Already there has been some exciting baseball, with the Korean's providing some punch. However, I have looked at the WBC site, and there appears to be no RSS anywhere. There is RSS for each of the MLB teams. I could be wrong, but it seems to me as if the Mainstream Media are ignoring the event until the USA plays. Such a shame, as there is lots of good baseball that is being played and could be watched. Here is the schedule of the games with some recaps and scores of what has already happened.
