Eirepreneur: Can OPML Cook My Dinner? Why not deliver cooking instructions to a OPML/RSS enabled and SSE controlled microwave oven using the same format? Pieter Overbeeke: "I thought it would be nice to make a big opml-manuals-directory (view outline) with all kind of manuals..." He envisions using this with Taskable, which would make your manuals available via just a right-click on your taskbar. He's also created an OPML generator script which will create an OPML directory of your Wordpress blog based on month, category, etc. David Newberger likes using the OPML Editor with his Wordpress blog. Dave's dusting off Share Your OPML. Boy, that was such fun to play with before Bloggercon II! I wish my feedreader would automate the process of "pushing" my OPML to various places I want it to go...hmm... Francois Briatte has a BBEdit script to turn OPML into XHTML. Jim Moore: "OPML-enabled directory trees are folksonomies on steriods, personalizable by each of us as individuals, explorable and enjoyable in aggregate by all of us." I think this is an engine to output OPML from LiveJournal RSS subs, but it's in Russian, so I'm not sure. David Czarnecki has gotten the OPML Editor working with Blojsom. Alex sez: "One item I'd add to the wishlist wishlist is the ability to export the wishlist (and import). After all, it is YOUR wishlist, right? Then I could manage and share the wishlist as I like, refer to it on other services, etc." I did notice today that Amazon has a "Gift Central" feature that lets you add friends' wishlists to a page, or make a page of "gift ideas" for a given person. Nice, but I still want to own my data. AdminID has found a way to move OPML outlines into Microsoft OneNote. Nifty! |
