Someone has registered the domain opml.cn. CN is the top level domain country code for China. There appears to be some sort of directory there. If you check it out, be warned that it is slooooow. But it's not broken -- just rip off another tab and go do something else while it loads. Hey, does anybody know if either attengine.com or TagCamp have a page like changes.opml.org? That's how I discover a lot of the OPMLbloggers I subscribe to, but right now I don't know how to discover new users on any of the new OPML Community Servers. Jay Tamboli has made a version of the US Federal Rules of Evidence in OPML. Jay's a law student at Georgetown. YippieShow: "An idea.... I have an RSS reader or podcatching client. I would like to share with people the feeds in which I am subscribed." I wonder if Yippie knows about Share Your OPML? But his comment makes me think, what if I could have a "friends list" in my aggregator, as in an IM client? Then those friends could see what feeds we are both subscribed to, and if I felt like it, I could make my sub list readable by friends. Cristian Vidmar: "I'm publishing to my own domain using the OPML Editor, something more than one is asking for." And he's doing it without the OPML Community Server on the other end, making use of PHP. Hey, Kosso was in Boston. Too bad I missed him! This was tagged as OPML related, after looking at it I'm not so sure, but it's too good to pass up: iFeedPod is a Mac-based app that will put text RSS feeds on your iPod. Maybe someday bloggers I read will have "suggested soundtracks." Chris Nolan can't get TailRank to grok his OPML, which was created by OmniOutliner. OPML Generator -- paste a plain-text list of RSS feeds into the box, and it will generate an OPML file for you. Jim Moore writes about Top Ten Sources, which is a site that lets you create useful lists about a subject to pass along to others -- and exports the directory as OPML (I think! I gotta play around with that some more). The Spanish-language RSS news and tips blog TodoRSS is starting to write about OPML, too. Yafbog's on a roll. Yesterday the OPML Sidebar for Wordpress script, today, "Here’s a script for the OPML Editor to upload a changed OPML file to the FTP server of your choice." |
