Dave Winer: "Lisa Williams continues to kick butt with her OPML news weblog. She's turning into the TechCrunch of the OPML community. Keep on truckin Lisa. Are you coming down for Podcastercon?"Thanks, Dave! I won't be down for Podcastercon, but it looks like I will be out in the Bay Area in January. Breakfast! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Fran: "Lisa, here's Grandma's *secret* recipe!" Mmm, OPML is tasty! Tastes like rugelach! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Kellie Miller gets a suggestion from Fran about a project: an OPML Community Cookbook. See, OPML = tasty. I can share our technique for roasting coffee beans using a $20 hot air popcorn popper. And some more conventional stuff, right now I'm cooking beef stew in our Crock Pot.  Permanent link to this item in the archive.

AmigoFish lets you input an OPML of your podcast/videoblog subscriptions and get back recommendations. You can even subscribe to an RSS feed of things AmigoFish predicts you'll like, and use that to get random goodstuff in your podcatcher. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Yakov Shafranovich has created SingleSub, which stores information about one-click RSS subscriptions for many different rss aggregators -- like Bloglines and Yahoo! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Library Clips: "This way all you do is get RSSlabs to host your OPML file, then when someone finds it they can import it into PowerPoint." Better! The other person doesn't even have to have Power Point to be able to see and read your stuff. Microsoft Office is expensive -- not something you'd want to buy just to read one presentation. And I've never found a way to export slide presentations to the web that I likedPermanent link to this item in the archive.

Charlie Woods: "Until last week, I was totally unconvinced that OPML was interesting." Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Teradome: "I’ve got a bit of an experiment going on right now—Teradome will now be importing my OPML blog through the use of aggregator2.module [of Drupal]." Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Jim Moore: "OPML and RSS meet the criteria better than the "Open Document" approach or the Microsoft XML approach."

Participo likes the idea of converting PowerPoint to OPML: "Interesting, because most of the thinking and intellectual output in companies I've dealt with is exclusively locked in PowerPoint. People think, create and share ideas in this hideous program, but sharing is via email." Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Robin Good: In the process of filtering the ocean of information that the network generates in greater quantity each day, an army of newsmasters, lensmasters, hub editors, digital information librarians, newsradar editors, bloggers and news reporters delve each day in the search for the news holy grail. That holy grail is the finding of the best sources and content that can help them do their researching and reporting job betterBut creating, sharing and maintaining OPML feeds list has not exactly been a task any non-technical users could afford to do that easily. Until now."

Steve Sloan: This Is My Life on OPML

Jake Savin explains the OPML-related features of Manila and Radio. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

CIO India: "The SSE specification can be used with the OPML (Outline Processor Markup Language) format." I'm guessing that this was printed in the US version of CIO Magazine first, but I love the idea it's going out to the Silicon Valley of India. I'd love to visit my fellow nerds on the Subcontinent someday. Permanent link to this item in the archive.
