Anne Zelenka: "Wow, Gabe Rivera made a celebrity gossip memetracker, WeSmirch. I was bummed when I found out Britney Spears was staying in my town on Maui a few weeks ago and I didn't get to see her." Waitaminute. My. Town. On. Maui?!?!?! It was super fun to meet Blair Fannin, author of the Cowhand OPML blog, at SXSW. OPML Is For Sharing and Storing Structured Data Phil Jones: "Tools trump formats and processes." Ayuh. Check out this page, where you can drive around in the Optimal OPML browser a little bit. Enjoy! Grazr Blog: "Lots of people are putting Grazr on their pages which is great, including several international sites." Kosso: "...to be honest I really miss it. And I miss all you users and readers. But it has been very productive for me to take a seat in the back and get on with the pile of projects I have going on here, since leaving the BBC. I really needed to do it. It was getting a bit overwhelming." Marshall Kirkpatrick points to Community Walk, a collaborative mapping service. Watch Marshall, he's on the trail of some interesting stuff. Matt Haughey (who is behind Metafilter) has launched ReBlog, a server-side feedreader. It'll be interesting to see someone who really, really gets blogging put together an RSS reader. One of my frustrations with RSS readers I've used is how poorly they support publishing. Many RSS reader developers don't seem to get that I read feeds because I blog, and I see it as part of a lifecycle. They think that adding support for blogging is bloat. I disagree, it's the natural endpoint for their app. Tom Morris liveblogs Richard Dawkins at the London School of Economics. The OPML Editor is a great liveblogging platform. The best I've ever used for that purpose. Mashable: Rojo's Personalized Memedigger Debuts. Wow. Bela recaps Alex Barnett's OPML podcast. Bela is the brains behind OPML Search and is wicked smaht as they say here in Boston. |
