Marky Moo: "I’ve just realised that Thunderbird supports OPMl! I knew if I waited long enough this would happen. Fantastic!" Jeremiah the Web Prophet: "MyMegite enables personal memetracking." Sleepyblogger points to a podcast with a discussion of new developments in podcasts and OPML. I think it would be interesting to use OPML as a navigational element for podcasts. Segments of a cast could be nodes in an outline, allowing you to listen to "top level" nodes of a cast only, or view notes on the screen of your iPod that are keyed to the segment you're listening to. Essentially, OPML could be metadata for a podcast to make podcasts "smarter." An OPML file for a cast could also be submitted to a memedigger to find related information. Simon spoke to Marc Canter about Canter's upcoming "People Aggregator" at a recent Geek Dinner in London. Recap. |
