Amyloo will be writing an e-book on the variety of things you can do with OPML. I spent a little time looking at Optimal today. Optimal is a server-side program that renders OPML nicely onscreen for you, and can also be installed as a Wordpress plugin. I'm in the planning phases of a project that will have a big directory component. I'd love to build it in OPML, but I also need simple web-form based additions to the directory...hmm... FeedShow: "FeedShow OPMLBuilder lets you create an OPML file from a list of RSS url or from the links included in any web page." Cool! I hope this does what I think it does...if we could feed lists of HTML urls to something and have it try to figure out what the RSS URL is, that would be great! Niall's working on getting the OPML Community Server running at his workplace. Bonus: supercute baby photo. Tom Morris: Free Web 2.0 Idea: mymacsucks.com." More Tom: "I just posted a comment on Scoble's blog about RSS vs. Atom, OPML vs. XOXO and microformats vs. reality. Anyone ready to hire a room for XOXO Camp? How many attendees do you see just waiting with baited breath to work on XOXO? |
