Succes!! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I am happy to announce that I finally have been succesfull in creating a script that adds the Halo comments, with a time stamp; all to be executed from the right-mouse menu. It was actually not that difficult at all, once I knew how.

Here's how to do it:

Here's a link to the script in OPML (you should set off formatting in HTML > Format Text)

  1. Go to: Tools > ProgrammersMenu > Workspace
  2. Go: Table > New Script, name the script addCommentLink and make it look like this:

    script.jpg

  3. Compile when done
  4. Now all you need to do is add a new menu item to the right-click menu wich calls the script:

     workspace.addCommentLink ()

    Happy scripting!

An Outline Subscription test.. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I was wondering if it's possible to subscribe to other outlines then the default, so I created this...

The trick is to save the document you want people to be able to subscribe to in the instantOutliner folder, in the upstream directory (www).

I assume Cori has done a great job adding a synchronize function in the Tools menu. Problem is, that when I open it (in any app) I cannot read what's in there; the markup is messed up. But maybe I am doing something wrong (very plausible)...

That's why it's good that I have started reading Radio UserLand Kickstart, by Rogers Cadenhead again: highly recommendable if you want to get into the UserLand Groove
