Mobhappy has a bunch of predictions for 2006. Number 17 will soon be wrong, thanks to PayPal Mobile. Number 4 has an answer: they don't need a USP. They need a good price. People will find their own USP. I don't want to call people in video. Heck, I don't want to call people full stop. I want a cheap connection, and they refuse to do it. ![]()

I respond to yet another misunderstanding of podcasting. Is it simple ignorance or is it willed? ![]()
Want to see something sweet? A USB Flash drive that pumps up. As for applications? I'll leave those to your imagination. ![]()
Dave has released an S3 API for OPML. Neat. ![]()
I've just hacked up my NewsRiver further, adding a new function called "Quick Update". What's this? Well, we all love and adore our Reading Lists, right? Well, not all of us do. Reading Lists are great, but once you've bundled a whole load of stuff in to a Reading List, you have to then download it every time you update. If, like me, you use low bandwidth connections like mobile phones a lot, then downloading Reading Lists can take a long time. Quick Update cuts out the Reading List downloads, so that when I'm on the train I can simply hit "Quick Update" and it'll start grabbing headlines without the wait. If you want to try out this hack, you'll find it in the OPML Code node of my instant outline. (You can subscribe for further code updates). ![]()
