The .xxx domain was one of the worst ideas to have hit the 'net, and it's taken nearly a decade to finally get rid of it. It would have been extremely "web-centric" - there are more than enough differing protocols and uses for the net, so to shoehorn the web in to the porn industry blueprint would be very limiting, and also very stupid. We need to have a clear wall between content and domains - especially as the governments around the world have a certain interest in domains (remember the goatse.cx debaclé). 

Those cheeky bastards at the Advertising Standards Authority are saying that "unlimited" really means 1Gb
