Randy pointed to this YouTube video of the "evolution of dance". Inner stage lighting geek-fu: taper the spot edges and put a subtle back light - the spot move is too obvious against the black curtain and has led to slightly faulty exposure on the video.
I meant to give a little microcontent vote to Steve Rubel's Google Trends expriments. I particularly like the fact that one can do searches such as this one.

Laura Bush doesn't believe in polls. What was it that Stephen Colbert said the other week? "Now, I know there are some polls out there saying this man has a 32% approval rating. But guys like us, we don't pay attention to the polls. We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in "reality." And reality has a well-known liberal bias." Life imitates art, right.. 
I've finished five of my six academic duties for the year. I can now return to blogging and, of course, it's OPML Camp time, folks! I'm off jet setting!
Defending SYO 
Since Share Your OPML was launched a few days ago, you've had a whole bunch of people whining about how it's simply a new method to replicate the A-list. Since I am apparently Dave Winer's ego, let me respond. Look at the top 40 music chart. It's based on sales of singles. If someone were to rejig the chart to base it on another measure - perhaps the number of people who called in to a radio station to request the song, you'd find much the same results. The same sorts of songs would be in the top 10. Exactly what would we have thought if the Top 100 Most Subscribed blogs instead listed 100 random blogs for no particular reason...
What Share Your OPML also brings, though, is the ability for you to find other people who like blogs that you do, and find similar blogs to the ones you like.
This is bad for what reason exactly? Because it's Dave, right? It's quite amusing that in the eyes of certain people, a good idea can become a bad idea if it comes out of Dave's mouth.
I'd far rather be part of Dave's ego than one of his critics intellects.
