Ken Livingstone wants to increase the congestion charge for people driving "Chelsea tractors" (our delightful term for large SUV/4x4 vehicles), The Guardian reports. Quite why, I'm not sure. Surely the reason why the congestion charge was introduced was to cut congestion, not to impose Ken Livingston's prejudice against SUV drivers on London. This move will introduce a huge amount of bureaucracy - the current scheme simply uses licence plate cameras, while the new scheme will have to cross-check data with the DoT to get tax band data. Which will no doubt add to the cost. 
Bug: certain places won't work. For example, if you want to see the pure DC feed, you can't. You can only see the Washington DC feeds. I will fix this soonish. It'll probably be of the format craigslist/washingtondc.doc/opml and equivalent. Fortunately, the way I've coded it, it should be quite easy to change.

I've just put out a script that lets you get an OPML file containing Craigslist data. It's very easy to use.
Just access www.bbcity.co.uk/craigslist/city/opml
The 'city' function is based on the subdomain on Craigslist. It should accept any subdomain. Most of them are obvious - london, lasvegas, boston, paris.
I'm just putting together an outline of all of the Craigslist OPML. I'll post that later. Meanwhile, go graze London's Craigslist.

Grazr seems like a perfect way to look at Craigslist. I'm just writing a little script to turn out an OPML file for each city and country version of Craigslist. OPML is also the perfect way to deliver local information.
Imagine if you could go to a page, tap in your postcode and it would churn out an OPML file containing all local services, businesses and the like using RSS.
I'm thinking that we could, for instance, use Geonames and TheyWorkForYou. The former has an API to turn postcodes in to placenames, the latter has an API to allow you to give you an ID number for your MP which can then be inserted in to a URL to give you an RSS feed of everything that MP does.
