I've found a really annoying thing with digg. There's a cool article on there which I really like, but it's miscategorised. But if I report it as miscategorized, it buries the story. No, I like the story. I just don't think it's "Tech Industry News". 
Oh my, that looks cool. If I used my Windows as my primary OS, I'd switch to that so quickly.

Ask MeFi has links to corporate bullshit speak. I rather like this blog.
Two good posts on Samizdata: a woman with a humourous sign being told to remove it as it is "distressing, offensive and inappropriate" and a great rant about compulsory, state education.
Another story that I'm just clearing from my aggregator backlog: Becky Hogge has an article about how Crown Copyright stifles free speech, as well as equivalents around the world - the DMCA, EUCD, the Diebold case etc. Read the whole thing.
Wi-fi hunting out in suburban Sussex 
I went out this morning to buy a new SD card for my Palm. I picked up my phone and realised that I hadn't charged it up. Instead, I found an open wi-fi spot in the High Street / New Road area in Crowborough. I was in the short stay car park just off New Road, behind the Woolworths. I managed to get in to my Gmail and briefly read some headlines.
The Palm T|X makes for a very good wi-fi detector, as you can easily set it up so that you can turn it on and hit the action button to scan for wi-fi.

On post-editing
Kent has a post on editing one's blog entries. My policy is simple: if I post something, I've got the right to change it. Generally, if it's been up for 24 hours, that is how it shall remain. If I change something that's not a post from today, you won't know about it. The OPML Editor doesn't publish changes to stuff before the current day in the RSS (having hacked the Editor, I am well acquainted with how it produces RSS).
When do I change things? Well, if something is completely and totally cringe-worthy, I'll pull it. I've got lots of old blog entries, and some of them are shockingly bad pieces of writing. They have almost no value whatsoever, and so I'm ridding myself of them.
If I see a spelling mistake, typo, grammatical error, broken link or something like that, it's fair game. If someone corrects me on something, I'll generally strike out and put the correct details in. I try not to change the substance, although mistakes happen.
If I have an opinion on something, it can change. If you really care about what I think and you are just about to link to a super-old entry to pick me up on the slack, drop me an email with the URL of something I've said. My opinions do change, and if prompted, I'll be happy to post what I think about a subject. This isn't supposed to be like the Bible where if I write a funny, difficult-to-interpret line, you take that as God's ultimate, unchanging truth.
As for Dave's BlogHer post? Over-enthusiasm, methinks. Of course, it's easier to be over-enthusiastic and rein it back than be under-enthusiastic and try to rumble it up by magic.
