PZ Myers has a story that is so silly that I'm conflicted. I can't quite believe anyone could be stupid enough to do so, but, this is the Internet, and people really are that stupid. As numerous people have pointed out in the comments, wouldn't you realise that you aren't walking on water as the water slowly approaches your head. It's reported in the Scottish Daily Record. I'd say that this makes it somewhat disreputable, but if you're intelligent enough to read the tabloids, you're intelligent enough to have faith that you can walk on water. ![]()
Les Jenkins: "Honestly, the amount of coverage this stupid case has gotten is quite disheartening considering the untold number of other children who aren't from white upper-middle class families that are abducted and killed every day with barely a mention in the paper. Yes, it's tragic and I'm sure it's very wrenching for the family members and so on, but they¹re not unique in their grief and there¹s plenty of even more important stuff happening in the world." It seems that America is to JonBenet Ramsey as Britain is to Diana. The media is obsessed, and anyone with more than three brain cells is bored utterly senseless. ![]()
I'm currently building yet another OPML API. The "include" function in OPML 2.0 makes it so easy to build individual components in OPML, which is particularly useful if the web services provider doesn't like things being polled more than once a second. ![]()
Bruce Schneier: "Imagine for a moment what would have happened if [terrorists] had blown up 10 planes. There would be canceled flights, chaos at airports, bans on carry-on luggage, world leaders talking tough new security measures, political posturing and all sorts of false alarms as jittery people panicked." ![]()

Sylvia Browne is a liar. A half-witted, cash-sucking liar. Prove me wrong, Sylvia, take Randi's test. ![]()
It's not some whiz-bang Live! Spaces! crap either, it's just a nice simple blog by the folks who work at Microsoft's Mac Business Unit.
I have to wonder what Microsoft on Mac have to offer anymore, since the aforementioned Live seems to be platform-agnostic (although the developer documentation is a little less agnostic than I would have liked).
And then there's the minor inconvenience that their products seem to be dropping like flies. Virtual PC is now thoroughly pwned by Boot Camp and Parallels Workstation. Mac users seemed to have dropped Windows Media Player and started using Flip4Mac's WMV viewing and editing plugins for QuickTime.
And Internet Explorer for Mac is now over three years dead, and Microsoft tell everyone to use Safari instead.
So, beyond Office (which, as Steve would say, is dead) and Messenger, which can't be much behind, what exactly do the MacBU do anymore?
Mac Office is now 2004, and the Outlook market probably isn't being served that well on the Mac.
Now that you guys have got a blog, enquiring minds want to know: what occupies the time of 180 Microsoft Macintosh developers?
Or perhaps they are "Leopard Reverse Engineering Team"?
