My new blog is here

It looks like Fay Weldon has turned herself - or at least the media's representation of her - in to a dull, sub-Kierkegaardian contrarian. And the newspapers still print this bloviating shite, why exactly? I mean, "I've found God" moments are only funny if the person really believes them, rather than just does the Guardian Special Feature "nod nod wink wink" farce. Fuck this for a game of charades. This is why people criticise the "London media elites" - because they take the most important questions in life and turn them in to a joke. If you are going to do that, it helps to actually be funny. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Julien at in over your head: "I was at PodCamp this weekend, in Boston. I met a bunch of people while I was there, really remarkable, passionate individuals that were looking to take what they were making to the next level"

Chris Brogan: "I met the coolest people, the nicest people, the people who are making a difference in the world. I would be overstating it to say that I fell in love with almost an entire community. There are outlying folks that aren¹t my exact demographic, but I respect you, and you¹re in the family, too."

Andrew Bourland: "The organizers did all they could to facilitate good networking and introducing those who would benefit greatly from meeting each other."

A video with some reaction.

If you missed the conference, apparently the organisers are going to be producing a cheap DVD with all the video and audio they can find. It was a really excellent event and a model we should follow back in my technical country of residence.
