I find it amazing that Ken Livingstone is increasing Zone 1 Tube fares to £4 a journey (for non-Oyster users). The government talks a good game about reducing pollution in order to combat climate change. How exactly is a fare hike on public transport going to help get people out of their cars and on to the Tube? ![]()
I have been working on a project which I'm hoping to launch soon - and I thought of a great new name of it today (having read some Nietzsche yesterday) - The Abyss Explorer. Because when you stare in to the abyss, the abyss tends to stare back. And the abyss has XML. ![]()
I've just posted some video of me showing off the key feature which distinguishes the iPod from all the half-baked competiton. The iPod is the only MP3 player that I've found which has this vital function, and it's the only way you can listen to podcasts without getting completely bogged down in remembering what you've listened to and what you haven't. ![]()
Podshow launched their partnership with BT, which is going to be about BT's forthcoming IPTV service. All very exciting, but I can't actually see the point. Either they do it in some locked down, craptastic 'partnership' which will get them nothing but bad karma from the users - or it's open, in which case, why do you need to have Podshow as a middleman when podcasting is so simple - it's just RSS and some hosting.
