That reminds me of this entry: Would Kierkegaard Blog? The answer - "No doubt. Consider his volumes and volumes of journals and his ideas about indirect communication. It's easy to imagine him extending his multiple-persona pseudonym trickery into the blog environment." Of course, Kierkegaard would be a LiveJournal user, while Nietzsche would spin his own blog software in some manly programming language that only he and the Übermensch could grok. A challenge to the designers out there in the blogosphere - design a WordPress theme and choose the settings for your favourite philosopher. ![]()
An excellent lecture by Jonathan Rée on Kierkegaard and Hans-Christian Anderson has been published in the Times Literary Supplement, specifically Kierkegaard's reaction to Anderson's Only a Fiddler! ![]()
Thanks, James - due to various constraints, I can't say in public exactly what I want to say, so I'll just put a placeholder that says "Insert magic here". Because that's what will be happening quite soon - magic! ![]()
Okay, so I did the one thing that coders aren't supposed to do - launch something and then bugger off down the pub.
Yesterday, I said I launched changes.opiumfield.com - only it wasn't working.
It now does work. I had just made a little mistake in some of the SQL statements.
So, subscribe to the RSS, include the OPML and have fun.
All the really juicy stuff will start very soon. I'm going to have the XML-RPC interface and the bookmarklets out very soon. Remember - I came up with this idea on Thursday morning, so it's quite, quite alpha.
