It looks like Dave is hiring. I may be doing so as well - probably via oDesk. ![]()
A story from Florida - "Trick or treat?" "Here's a Chick tract!" "So, that's trick then?" The article gives a lot of creedence to the distinction that all sane people have been drawing to the literal belief in spirits and ghosts among religious people. I guess the years of mockery of evangelical Christianity's "anti-fun" attitude to Halloween has become a little bit too much. ![]()
I really hate the various "digg this" links at the bottom of blog posts. I have a "digg this" link on my Grazr digg page - because it's directly related to digg. Matt from 37signals is pointing out the crappiness of these many little buttons. I don't think I've ever used one. And when they appear in Feedburner feeds, it's a serious disincentive to my continued subscription to that feed. If someone built a good one, I wouldn't object to it - but the design for most of these are frankly horrible. ![]()
If you try to get weapons on to planes at Newark, NJ, you've got a 90.9% chance of succeeding. Of course, that means if you are trying to catch those weapons, you got a 9.1% of actually catching them. I suppose the utter failure of the War on Moisture is nothing compared to the even bigger failure that is the War on Drugs. ![]()
Want to see bureaucratic incompetence at it's worst? Junniper has been billed for a $22 parking ticket by the University of Utah. Only problem is that (a) she doesn't attend the University of Utah, (b) she's never even been to the University of Utah and (c) it's for a car she doesn't even drive. It's all down to the details she put on an admissions information card. I was having a similar trouble with my former college - I haven't had a response to the snarky e-mail I sent, but I haven't been pestered by them again. ![]()
