Apparently, Microsoft have realised that PHP is great. Anyway, beyond snarkiness, the fact that Zend might be improving PHP performance on Windows has to be a good thing. ![]()
James and Mike have reviews of the new Gmail mobile Java app. I'll download it later. ![]()
Don't you get it? Christian terrorists exist! They are the folks who were attacking abortion clinics and so on. Still, never let the facts get in the way of a good whine. ![]()

PZ has another excellent piece on his recent non-confrontation with Dr. Mike S. Adams, buffoon conservative extraordinaire. ![]()
Peter Wall: "Of course, he denies the allegations. What else is he going to do? But if the allegations are truly spurious, why would he resign? This I do not understand. When you are a bull-headed evangelical who believes that your personal metaphysical beliefs ought to be given the weight of law, why would you resign your job so quickly when false allegations arise? Why not weather the storm? Let people know how sure you are that the allegations are false?" ![]()
Pastor Ted Haggard, that evangelical nutcase who was on Richard Dawkins' TV programme a while back, has resigned over allegations that he had sex with a rent boy. And apparently taken metamphetamine. I bet Haggard is a leather daddy when he's not going on about the evils of gay people.
Do as I say, not as I do. ![]()
I just watched the South Park episode featuring Richard Dawkins. I don't feel like complaining to any TV networks or engaging in mass boycotting or any of the other ridiculous crap which certain people have been engaging in whenever certain sensitive subjects appear on South Park.
Just in case I haven't made myself clear, that means you, Australian Catholics. The very fact that you can show Richard Dawkins having anal sex with a post-op transsexual shows you exactly how he isn't the "Pope of atheism" or whatever else the professional nonsense peddlers are pushing this week.
The thing I've been dying to share with you all is now public. GrazrScript is an XML-based programming language to speed up Web application building.
Here is Adam's announcement and here are the documents.
Go and play with the examples! I'm going to be releasing some GrazrScript code very soon.
The tutorial makes it out to be a replacement for knowing how to code. In fact, it's actually something that can benefit those who already know how to code and use XML parsers and so on. But it also makes developing simpler mashups and mini-applications within the reach of the non-programmer.
I'm trying to figure out how to build an OPML distributed directory renderer in PHP. I'm currently having some difficulty figuring out the forest for the trees. I've posted a question up at Ask MetaFilter to try and get some suggestions. If you've got any suggestions, please post them either here or there.
As I said, once I've got the script written, I'll be open sourcing the results. So, help me out!
