Wow. Only Mike Arrington could be arrogant enough to think that EMI announcing that they are going to sell DRM-free iTunes means that other companies will too. Here's the deal. So long as there are people who are utterly clueless running record companies, DRM will exist. Since there doesn't seem to be any shift towards having people who have a clue running record companies, DRM is here to stay - pointless though it may be.
