Kosso, I understand where you're coming from right now, but pointing me to disputes from years ago between Dave and people other than you doesn't really enlighten me. I've been observing the back and forth between you and Dave for a couple months, and I can't say I find that instructive, either. I think you're trying to give me a "heads up" and I appreciate the gesture, but I deal with people on the terms at which we mutually arrive (unless, of course, we're introduced by a close friend - that usually starts me off in a more positive stance, as opposed to a neutral one). ![]()
If you work for Microsoft, you don't ask Bill Gates about getting your parking permit renewed.
And if you see Joe Torre eating at a neighborhood restaurant, you don't sit down and start talking to him like he's your buddy, complaining to him about how he coaches or how he handles players.
And if you're Joe Torre's neighbor, you sure as hell don't go to a Yankees game, climb onto the dugout roof, lean over and whine to the other coaches and the players about how two years ago Torre didn't put his trash can lids on tightly enough and then the racoons got in and spread the garbage all over the street.
And if I can think them up, I will punish anyone who dares to read this blog with more horrible analogies to describe this situation.
