So I changed my script to do what Dave's does (pretty much). Note, that you don't need to have News River installed to use my script. 

Yesterday, I linked to a couple of scripts which, together, make it easy to create reading lists. Turns out, Dave did include this ability with News River. I like the flexibility in my scripts, in which I select the name of the feed. But Dave's is really cool because, taking the feed URL, it fetches and automagically figures out the site URL (htmlURL attribute) and the feed title.
