A while ago, I wrote a little web applet to convert XBEL into OPML. I use it with the Bookmarks Synchronizer extension for Firefox, but someone sent me an email today (complaining that my converter was broken, which it was not) which alerted me to a cool-sounding service I hadn't heard of before, linkaGogo.
Using linkaGoGo, it looks like to can import/export your bookmarks among a lot of common formats.
More importantly, all your bookmarks are available online, so you can access them from any computer connected to the Internet.
Anyway, here's what Mr. Emailer's bookmarks look like in Optimal.
Looks like linkaGoGo has been around for a long time, actually. Their site is butt-ugly.
At least as important as the "include" type icon in the OPML Editor is a consensus icon for OPML, something akin to the RSS/Feed icon. Unless there's some objection... ![]()
Amyloo, I like that deep, Bordeaux red. On Windows, I believe the icon can be 24-bit, but on Mac, I'm guessing that you need 4-bit, 8-bit and 24-bit versions. However, as long as the Mac allows you to select the color palette, is doesn't matter -- the icon could be a 4-bit icon as long as you don't need to include standard colors in the palette! ![]()
